Orono High School Musician Charles Gielow
Charles Gielow participates in college preparatory studies as a student at Orono High School in Orono, Minnesota. At the school, he received the Academic Letter Award. In addition to his studies, Charles Gielow has engaged with the School of Rock summer camp in Eden Prairie. Over the course of multiple summers with the camp, he has provided music support and general instruction to musicians between the ages of five and 12, focusing on guitarists and bassists. During his first summer with the camp, he received the James Taylor Award, recognizing his role as a counselor who excels in areas of leadership and musicianship.
In addition to preparing for a biomedical engineering college degree and playing the bass as an instructor and with numerous bands, Charles Gielow enjoys staying active through downhill skiing and volunteer work with organizations such as the American Heart Association and Shout Out Loud Suicide Prevention. He is also a fan of Major League Baseball.
